Hamro Homestay is an Entrepreneurship Development Project sponsored by NABARD as part of its My District My Project initiative. This Project is aimed to develop sustainable Homestay Business in the Hills of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts of West Bengal by Linking and Promotion of Local Crafts & Agri-Tourism.

In this Project the Project Implementing Agency - Learnet Skills Limited has identified 40 such Entrepreneurs and have extended Training to them on the following.

        
  1. Training on Basic Entrepreneurship Skills in Hospitality Industry Sector
  2. Training on Basic English Communication Skills
  3. Training on Quality Hospitality Service DeliverySkills

In addition, the Project is also providing Marketing Support to the Project Beneficiaries in order to increase their income from Homestay Business.

The Guests who choose to stay in one of these properties will be contributing directly to the local community to increase their income levels.

They also help the beautiful hills to reduce new concretization as existing homes of localresidents turn into accommodation place for the responsible tourists.
